Full explanation:

Desirable effects can be an increase in a desired outcome (e.g. better vision or more healthy babies), or a decrease in an undesired outcome (e.g. less pain or fewer strokes) in the treatment comparison group receiving the treatment of interest, compared to another comparison group. Desirable effects can also include a decrease in burden (e.g. fewer clinic visits or a less bothersome treatment).
